HULL STILL PHOTOGRAPHIC INSPECTIONS

With new IMO regulations such as CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator) and EEXI (Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index), the main stake holders in Maritime Eco-System such as Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Charterers and Ship Builders are focussed to comply with these regulations and Hull Bio-fouling being the most important component of it has been under the Limelight. Ergono Solutions Management have great expertise in this domain and we arranges High Quality and High Definition Hull Photographic Inspections for our clients focussing on the critical areas of the Ships such as:

      • Vertical Sides
      • Flat Bottom
      • Thrusters (Bow and Stern)
      • Rudder
      • Propeller
      • Rope Guard
      • Sea chests
      • Bilge Keel
      • Transducers (Speed Log, Echo Sounder etc)
      • ICCP
      • Anodes
      • Transom
      • Anchor Chain
      • Bulbous Bow
      • Overboard Discharges

PURPOSE:

The Main Purpose to arrange this Underwater Hull Inspection is to ascertain the marine-biofouling accumulated on different parts of the ship. This Bio-fouling contributes very heavily in impacting the Speed and fuel consumption of a Ship which in turns increase the Carbon content. A Clean hull consumes 30% lesser fuel than a Dirty hull. The inspection is done mainly to see the Fouling type and Severity on different areas of the Hull as per below.

A good Hull Inspection can assist the Client to make an important decision about Hull Cleaning, typically we recommend Hull inspection twice a year for actively trading vessel or immediate Hull Inspection for a Vessel which laids up to 30 days in tropical waters and 50 days in Cold waters.

Other advantages of arranging Hull Inspection are:

  • To see condition of the Anti-fouling
  • Damages on the Hull, Anchor Chain, Sea Chest etc
  • Propeller Blades and Tailshaft condition.

We submit a comprehensive Hull Photographic Inspection report with HQ photographs.
